We think shopping local is important and believe you should too! With so many big box stores around town, it’s nice to support a local company whenever you can. Here are some of the best reasons why you should shop local:

  • You Get Specialized Services

Local stores are more likely to hire staff that has knowledge on the specific products they sell. This means that you can make a more informed purchase with the right information!

  • Enhances the Local Economy

When you buy from a local store the money you spend goes right back into the community. There isn’t a big head office in a huge city that the money is being sent to.

  • Better Environmental Impact

Local stores are able to source products locally, which reduces the carbon footprint. We grow all of our seasonal bedding and vegetable plants here instead of bringing them in which reduces our carbon footprint and in turn reduces that of the consumer’s!

  • More Jobs in the Community

Did you know that a lot of jobs come from local stores? Local stores are not going to be bringing in other workers from different store locations. They help broaden the job market.

  • Diverse Selection of Products

If you’re looking for unique or specialty products, local stores are usually your best bet! Unlike big box stores, they have more freedom to choose what they carry and are more likely to order specific things in for you.
