Betony Hummelo

This year we’ve brought in new perennials, trees, and shrubs! We wanted to highlight some of our favourite ones so you can be just as excited as we are.

To start off, we want to share the perennial and Hosta of the year! The perennial of the year is the beautiful Betony Hummelo. This perennial is a zone 4, grows 18” x 18” tall and wide, and prefers full sun. It is remarkably beautiful.

Lakeside Paisley Print Hosta

The Hosta of the Year is a groovy one, it is the Lakeside Paisley Print Hosta. It has a beautiful green base with delicate white variegation throughout and has beautiful lavender blooms. The Lakeside Paisley Print is a zone 3 hosta and grows 10” tall by 20’ wide preferring full to partial shade. No wonder it is the Hosta of the Year for 2019!

Spacecoast Behaviour Pattern Daylily

Add some colour to your garden with the strikingly beautiful Spacecoast Behaviour Pattern Daylily. With vibrant colours like this, how could you say no? This daylily is a zone 4, grows 32” tall and takes full sun to part shade.

The Cat’s Pyjamas Catmint

What’s better than the “cat’s meow”? The Cat’s Pyjamas Catmint! A bold and beautiful zone 3 Nepeta that grows 12-14” tall and 18-20” wide! Brighten your yard with wonderful indigo blooms. Be sure to plant this beauty in full sun!

Korean Azalea

The Korean Azalea is a breathtaking shrub with lavender to rosy purple blooms and dark green foliage that changes to a wonderful orange by fall. A perfect shrub for any partially shady spot you need to fill in your garden or yard. This shrub is zone 4 and grows 4’-6’ tall and 6’-8’ wide.

Dreamland Rhododendron

The Rhododendron of your dreams is here, and it’s called the Dreamland Rhododendron. Enchant your yard with whimsical pink blooms that darken around the edge as the spring nears its end. This shrub is a zone 5, grows 3’ tall and is 4’ wide. Be sure to plant in partial shade.

Moonshadow Euonymus

No need to lurk in the shadows for this euonymus. The beautiful Moonshadow Euonymus is comprised of dark green foliage with a yellow blotch in the middle. It is zone 5 and  grows 3’ tall and 5’ wide. Be sure to plant in full sun to part shade.

Pugster Periwinkle Butterfly Bush

We all know how important bees are so why not reward them with the Pugster Periwinkle Butterfly Bush! Of course, the butterflies will love it too and as an added bonus, it’s deer resistant! This buddleia bush is a zone 5, grows 2’ tall and 2’ wide. Be sure to plant in full sun.

Flowerfesta White Lilac

Grow the scent of spring with the Flowerfesta White Lilac. An elegant lilac bush that grows white fragrant blooms. It is a zone 4 plant, grows 4’ tall and 4’ wide. Be sure to plant in full sun!

The last tree on this list is absolutely stunning! It is the Snow Fountains Flowering Cherry. This wonderful weeping tree with fabulous snow-white blooms will give elegance to your garden in the springtime. It is zone 4 and grows 12’ tall and wide. Be sure to plant in full sun!
